use peewee in a sentence.
For most web applications peewee will be just as nice as Djangos ORM.
And in view of that, how is Peewee better than SQLAlchemy?
I've enjoyed using Peewee as a lightweight ORM for Python - mainly for scripting data manipulation on legacy databases but it does the job nicely.
I have not used Peewee, but at first sight the most visible difference is the query syntax - Peewee uses method chaining, whereas Pony ORM decompiles Python AST.
On there other side, it seems Peewee already has migration support, whereas in Pony migrations are not implemented yet, this is the next task.
I love PeeWee Herman-esque machines, used to try and make them all the time out of Meccano when I was a kid :)Laughed when I saw all the broken TVs against the wall too :D
Show me a quarterback whose 5'2" dad who stopped at middle school peewee trained them, and I'll be impressed.
I haven't used Django ORM before but it would be interesting to see how Peewee compares to SQLAlchemy: I love SQLAlchemy: it is easy to use, rock solid, well documented, and fully-featured without trying to do everything at once (for example, it explicitly doesn't do caching).
Again, it would be interesting to see how Peewee stacks up against it (performance-wise, since it obviously doesn't compete for features.
I've looked at Peewee (albeit before the rewrite mentioned here), and, more to the point, my first response was "why didn't he write this in SQLAlchemy.
A tiny one-file ORM (I checked, the full ORM itself is ultimately one file "peewee.
EDIT: by the way, kids in peewee football are taught from day 1 to tackle with the head up.
